How payoff is estimated
Each month, interest accrues on the remaining balance, then your payment reduces principal. Extra payments are applied on top of the regular payment. Results are estimates and do not include fees or penalties.
When payment is too low
If the payment does not exceed monthly interest, the balance will not shrink. The calculator shows a clear message instead of NaN or Infinity.
